Air Awakens-Book 1 in the Air Awakens series by Elise Kova

BLURB FROM BOOK: A Library Apprentice, a Sorcerer Prince, and an Unbreakable Magic Bond… The Solaris Empire is one conquest away from uniting the continent, and the rare elemental magic sleeping in seventeen-year-old library apprentice Vhalla Yarl could shift the tides of war. Vhalla has always been taught to fear the Tower of Sorcerers, a mysterious magic society, and has been happy in her quiet world of books. But after she unknowingly saves the life of one of the most powerful sorcerers of them all—the Crown Prince Aldrik—she finds herself enticed into his world. Now she must decide her future: Embrace her sorcery and leave the life she’s known, or eradicate her magic and remain as she’s always been. And with powerful forces lurking in the shadows, Vhalla’s indecision could cost her more than she ever imagined. This is a brilliant book that I would recommend to any to try and get others into the series. Elise

Iron Fey and The forgotten series by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Fey series is probably one of my favourite series to read on a constant basis. It includes magic, love, loss, tragedy and action all packed into one. It follows Meghan Chase who goes to save her brother who was kidnapped by the Iron King, a new breed of Faerie. She travels into the Never never with Puck (Yes, the famous court jester of King Oberon) and encounters the Winter Prince, Ash.  As the book carry's on a friendship starts to form between Ash and Meghan. In the end, Meghan goes with Ash to the winter court because of a deal she made. As the series continues it follows Meghan, Ash, Puck and Grimilkin (A Faerie cat) fighting the never ending battle between the Seelie and Unseelie courts against the Iron Court. In the series following this one it follows Ethan Chase, Meghans brother, fighting the battle against the forgotten, a race of fey that are fading from existence. Thanks, Michaela. P.S. Sorry for taking two years to update this blog! Have a good re
